Our mission is simple: to provide our members from all walks of life with the right tools, techniques, and support to unlock their full fitness potential through running based workouts. We're proud to offer training programs formulated by our Certified USA Track and Field Coach and Licensed Physical Therapist. This unique combination of expertise ensures that your training experience enhances your endurance, strength, and speed while taking into account your body’s unique needs.

WE’RE MORE THAN JUST A RUNNING CLUB.

Running is fun with a community to learn from and engage with. Throughout our whole 1-hour session, members are guided and coached all throughout for proper form, pacing, and execution. While half of the session will be a track-and-field style training on the treadmill, the other half will focus on a full body workout for functional strength and conditioning to address your core stability, coordination, muscular endurance. We also take pride in using our platform to support and promote incredible local running clubs, in our pursuit to grow the community even further.

MEET THE COACHES

  • Jon is a licensed Physical Therapist in Illinois with 8 years of experience and is also a registered Physical Therapist in the Philippines, being an alumnus of CDU. He's a certified USA Track and Field Coach and boasts an impressive running record, having completed 6 marathons and 7 half-marathons. His personal bests are a marathon time of 3 hours 9 minutes and a half-marathon time of 1 hour 25 minutes. Additionally, he was a CESAFI Athlete for Inter-Collegiate Track and Field from 2009 to 2012.

TRAINING STYLE AT THE GUILD

Your “pace” is a key part of your identity as a runner. Although it does not define you, it is a unique aspect that translates into progress. This will serve as an objective means of improvement. Heart rate monitoring is also a key factor to help members train within the appropriate intensity zones and make the most of their workouts. As part of your journey, you can choose to bring along your friends for a group class session or you can opt for a more individualistic approach and go "solo mode." Either way, you will have the proper guidance of your coaches for an optimal experience.

The guild offers a variety of training programs and activities to cater to different needs. These include low-intensity, easy mid-to-long runs for those seeking a more relaxed workout, as well as high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and speed interval training on the treadmill for those looking to push their limits. In addition, the guild provides opportunities for resistance and strength training to enhance overall physical fitness. Furthermore, the guild emphasizes the importance of proper running form and technique. Members will have access to expert analysis and guidance to ensure they optimize their running/walking posture, balance, coordination.

  • Meet Paul Christopher, aka Mr. Idol Pogi, a passionate runner who has made impressive progress in just a few months. Starting with intense gym workouts before his first 10K race, he now runs regularly in Cebu and along the Il Corso boardwalk.

    Nervous but determined, Paul completed his first 10KM race at the Cebu 711 Fun Run event, finishing in 1 hr 32 minutes:43 seconds on February 5, 2023. Encouraged by his achievement, he took on a bigger challenge: signing up for the Cebu SM2SM Run, a 21KM race, just one month later. With a well-designed 4-week plan and dedication to his gym routine and work-life balance, Paul crossed the finish line in 2 hrs 27 minutes:58 seconds on March 5, 2023. Notably, his running pace improved from 9:15/km to an impressive 7:00/km.

    Driven by his accomplishments, Paul's next ambitious goal is to conquer the Full Marathon, a challenging 42KM race.

  • Meet Mark Rizarri, an experienced Skeptron Runner who has been actively running for 6 years. Over the past 2 years, he has focused on serious training and has achieved impressive milestones. Mark's longest race is the Ultramarathon 50KM. This year alone, he has completed a full marathon in January, a 32KM race in February, and a half marathon in March.

    Mark is known for his incredible endurance and dedication. Currently, he is training with a coach from the Guild of Runners to improve his personal record in the half marathon at the SM2SM event.

    His race times are remarkable: 4 hrs 59 minutes:1 second (7:06/km pace) for the 42KM, 3 hrs 18 minutes:21 seconds (6:12/km pace) for the 32KM, and an astounding 1 hr 55 minutes:2 seconds (5:27/km pace) for the 21KM. Despite initial concerns about his training leading up to the 21KM race, Mark regained his confidence and performed exceptionally well.

    Running is Mark's passion as it pushes him beyond his comfort zone and helps him achieve his goals. It also provides opportunities to connect with like-minded individuals focused on fitness and wellness. If you encounter Mark during his runs, feel free to say hello. His next race, as of now, is the Hunat Sugbo in June 2023.
